There is more than one of everything...
Celestia and her adviser and friend Star Swirl the Bearded, found their way through a magic mirror to another world. There they met alternate versions of themselves and the world they knew. An evil Celestia, a good Sombra who ruled Equestria, a lovely queen Chrysalis of Love and a band of criminals known as the Mane 6.
Stopping after the balance of the universe was in jeopardy, the dark portal lay dormant. Until a curious thing happened.
The mirror broke.
By breaking the mirror opened up other dimensions, alternate futures, sending its occupants out of their land. But with no mirror to go through in the true universe they ended up in this dismal black one.
Now, teaming up with the good King Sombra, the children of ponies must learn to settle in, take care of themselves and defeat the evil which rears its head in the form of their parents and friends.
