(September 2nd, open to Eris & Sombra)
"At least the castle is lovely," Eris remarked.
Her paw, claws and hoof moved along the garden wall. Her ears folded back as she looked about, maw parted as she moved towards the statues. She snorted. Captain 'good guy.' Who the heck was that? She was familiar with Discord, lord of chaos and destruction. Her evil father who had tried to bond with her but in all the wrong ways. She stared at the statue of the lovely Queen Chrysalis. Butterfly wings? Hearts? She scoffed.
What kind of world was this?
What if there would be, in a few years, an evil version of her? Of Morpheus? An Eris with magic and fangs? She shook. She couldn't believe that. Her ears folded back as she stopped at a fountain. She sighed. She was so confused. She stared at her ugly reflection for a moment. Her maw parted.
"I could ace a quiz on friendship's bliss But I wasn't prepared for this Will I fail, or will I pass? I can't be sure..."

"I didn't know you were a singer."
King Sombra hadn't meant to stumble upon Eris. Far from it. Ususally, Sombra came out to the garden to think. And this situation was one of the ones that called for it. With all the children from the alternate worlds coming in, Sombra had to open guest rooms in the castle that hadn't been opened in at least a century.
He seemed not to be the only one who needed time to think. Not that he blamed Eris - not at all. Learning there were alternate worlds and others of your friends and family must be hard. He hadn't believed at first that there could be a Princess Celestia that was good. But there was, just like there were Discord and Twilight children in other worlds. And Sombra couldn't judge them by their parents. And Eris seemed nice enough when he had talked to her earlier.

"I didn't know you were a singer."
"Derp?"
She froze, turning to the handsome King behind her. Her eagle claw and lion's paw grew weak at the sight of him. Eris had never seen a more handsome pony. Sombra would even rival Uncle Armor, but maybe that was because she wasn't hopelessly attracted to Shining Armor. Her ears dropped as a derpy expression crawled over her muzzle.
She opened her mouth to speak but her tongue didn't function. She'd managed to form at least her name before so she swallowed and straightened up. "Yes. I...sing...not to...well?" She formed it as a question even though she didn't mean to.
